Reason #30: French Quarter Part 3 – The French Market
The French Market is mostly a destination for tourists, but is also a fun way to spend the afternoon as a local. The French Market is located in the French Quarter by the river, and is six blocks of shopping.
Vendors sell a variety of items and trinkets symbolizing New Orleans. Whether you are looking for a souvenir, candles or soap, a cheap pair of sunglasses, or a fun decoration to hang on your wall, the market is a fun place to shop. It also includes several food stalls selling anything from alligator to oysters, or pralines to crepes.
If you enjoy shopping, flea-markets, food, or just wandering around looking at stuff, the French Market is the place to be.
Until next time…
